Children’s Day is an annual celebration dedicated to fraternity and the understanding of childhood in the world, in which activities are carried out to promote the well-being and rights of children.
Its origin began after the First World War, where concern and awareness about the need for special protection for children was generated. This anniversary is observed on different dates depending on each country.
Among the activities of this day in Turkey, the children send their representatives to replace the officials in their offices. The president, ministers, governors and mayors hand over their positions to the children’s representatives. These children, in turn, sign executive orders related to educational and environmental policies.
